My fridge has a really handy beverage drawer that was clearly designed with cans in mind, as it’s exactly six cans deep, but it doesn’t perfectly fit a row of cans widthwise.

time to step up to 16oz!

Coke
is available in 16oz cans, so fill a row with those :p

First thought was concentrated juice containers, but those are frozen, so, I have no idea what the thinking is there. Maybe designed for one row of tall boys?

Would these fit better?

right! needs a row of PBR tallboys!

I live an hour from Pottsville and never realized there were Eagle Foundation cans. I need to buy beer more frequently.

Yes except they’re no longer .99

probably more location fitting

Fill that space with limes.

I can’t, I already put them in the coconut and drank ‘em bot’ up.

This doeant surprise me, with the way products are designed and built, with what seems lile zero understanding of how customers will actually use the product.
Also, I need to see the other 84,511 things that preceed this concern! I expect a report on my desk by Monday.

My cousin has a fridge like this, and he stands the cans upright...?
![]() 09/01/2020 at 21:36 |

If I buy them wholesale they are .79
![]() 09/01/2020 at 21:41 |

The drawer is not tall enough to stand them upright.

The list encompasses everything that exists, has existed, or will exist, both physically or in concept.

I’m a big fan of the retro 1960s style Premium Beer cans they’re doing now, been buying more of those than Traditional Lager lately, just for the aesthetics. I believe their Premium is actually a pilsner, which is still technically a type of lager.

If you haven’t seen this ep of Vsauce, at the 17 minute mark he talks about the Library of Babel....mind blown. The whole episode is good.

Wow, I learned something from that beer.

Samsung fridge? I think we’ve got a similar one.
Instead of storing cans, we use that drawer for cheese.

I know this feel. My ARB fridge will fit a 12 pack 2x3x2 but not snugly, like you could ALMOST fit another in there, and it doesn’t matter which way you orient the cans. It means they clack around while you drive.

How’s that Kolsch? That’s an under-rated style.

Maybe designed for these.

I think good. I had 4 or 5 that day and they all kind of blended together.

Those are some classy looking cans.

I don’t think that drawer is actually for cans. We have one as well and I think it’s marked something else. It’s useful for cheese and stuff like that we’ve found.

Good enough, I’m just glad my new apartment’s fridge is adjustable enough to fit a Riesling bottle upright. This has not always been the case.
On the downside the icemaker frequently doesn’t work, and was apparently dumping water on the floor instead of into the cube tray.

I made damn sure I have the door shelves arranged tall enough to fit a wine bottle or two

They don't sell that one near me. We get the lager, both regular and light, the golden pilsner, and also the black and tan. I'm a big fan of Yeungling for a cheaper beer, especially out of a fresh keg.

I should note I had and enjoyed different beers from there not just one type

Counterpoint, if it did exactly fit a row of cans widthwise it would be a pain in the ass to get anything out since the tops and bottoms interlock with each other slightly.

When we moved, we got a house that has a beverage fridge in the kitchen island! As well as a pantry with a door that says PANTRY on it just in case you forget where the pantry is.

My wife recently paid someone to build us a kitchen island. One of the most important features she wants was tip outs for the garbage, and recycling.
The guys who made it just guessed on the size of the tip outs. That are too small to fit any kind of trash bin inside of them. I can’t fit the life of me understand why he wouldn’t buy a trash bin and then build around it.
When he dropped it off he jokingly said “now it’ll be a challenge to find bike that’ll fit in there” thankfully my wife made it clear that was his problem not ours.
Also maybe one roe is for tall 16oz cans? Like a Red Bull?

Its definately the better quality among the mainstream (e.g., not craft or premium) brands. For the price, you can't usually do much better

I need a pantry with a light in it

We have a light in our pantry. Unfortunately I cannot use it because the switch isn’t labelled and I forgot where it was.

Yes, cheeses and lunchmeat.
Beer fridge is for beer.
